Pools and Popsicles
Summer of 2014 was filled with lots of swimming (both at home and at swim lessons). Summer is the time for Saturday night baths, pool rinses the rest of the week, trampoline time and lots of pictures.
Every one of my kids has spent time "swimming" in these big buckets.
Daisy couldn't decide if she wanted to get in or not, so she hung around slowly getting closer and closer
Rips off her clothes and she is in the pool! Adaira practices her perfect water fountain.
Grandpa Dean checking on his tomato plants that didn't yield a single tomato (he blamed it on our sheep who got in there and ate his poor plants down to almost nothing before we put some side rails up.
Beautiful Senna. She is just the best dog ever. Only a few months old, acts like a grown up dog.
Daisy's cousin Charlotte was over for a little while and they tried out the pool together
Daisy absolutely adores Charlotte, well everyone loves Charlotte!
Sad news is I overinflated the pool when I set it up, so the top ring constantly leaked and after a week or so the pool was abandoned. All four kids were signed up for swim lessons at Arrowhead pool four days a week so they got so much swimming in they didn't care to go in our little pool anymore.
It was a HOT summer for me, I'll tell you that! Sitting outside in the June, July and August heat waiting for these guys! It was a great activity for them and they all improved their swimming abilities. We did four (two week) sessions of swim this summer and even did afternoon lessons after school started through the end of August.
Dale was able to graduate up one level over the summer, as was Daisy.
Brighton and Adaira were rockstars and graduated up three levels over the summer. They can't wait to be Marlins next year.
They enjoyed going to the deep end with their class and playing sharks and minnows, and of course diving off the diving boards.
Daisy sees Dale touch his Popsicle to his lip so she must try it too.
Daisy trying to get Dale to stop talking so she can talk
So devilishly adorable

Day #2 with a new pool, Brighton & Adaira joining in on the fun
Little floaties for the two younger kids...or not
Daisy couldn't decide if she wanted to get in or not, so she hung around slowly getting closer and closer
Brighton is such a ham
She got splashed, will she finally give in??
This is her face smiling and saying "Noooooo"
And then she takes a deep breath...

Hey let's pick our noses...
"Hee hee hee isn't that funny us both picking our noses?? Let's cover our noses now!"Sad news is I overinflated the pool when I set it up, so the top ring constantly leaked and after a week or so the pool was abandoned. I hope we can do it again next summer, it was a great daily (almost) activity! It will be nice when Dale and Daisy are both in the longer class because this summer they had 25min classes while Brighton & Adaira had 50 minute, so I had to entertain them for 25 minutes and (mostly) keep Daisy from running off all the time.
