Easter

Image
Hunting for Easter eggs. We gave Dale and Daisy a head start.  The little ones didn't catch on to the idea of getting all they could and then eating. They just wanted to eat what the found and stop looking.  This girl is so white, almost as if a glow is coming from her head. She must be an angel. . . or a devil.  Can't go wrong with a chocolate bunny  Hi Dale Grandma photo-bombing Daisy. This is quite a good shot of her, actually. She looks much younger. q  Beautiful little girl. I call her my Pixie Sprite, because she is so light and dances/runs everywhere she goes, yet she is soooo quiet when she is being mischievous, and even when she's in trouble she dances away laughing. Lately as she's running away she says "You'll never catch me!" and I can't help but think of the story of the Gingerbread man... Daisy decided to take a name with Grandpa Dean in his...

Adaira's Baptism

Image
Adaira was baptized today. She had a beautiful white princess dress and loved wearing it. She happened to get baptized on her Uncle Dean's birthday, and since he is the bishop of our new ward, he presided over it. I played "When I Am Baptized" as the opening song and Aunt Margie was our chorister. Brighton said the opening prayer and then Grandpa Dale gave a talk on baptism and called Adaira a princess and told her to keep herself clean so she can go to heaven and be a princess in Heavenly Father's kingdom and bore his testimony to her. She was baptized by her Daddy and then we finished watching a video of her life. Brighton was in charge of pressing play on the video and he kept trying to conduct the meeting, it was so funny. He stood up there and said that once all the little kids sat back down he would start a video. Grandma Barbara gave a talk on the Gift of the Holy Ghost and told several stories and had Adaira stand next to her and point out at the end of ...

Dale downed his first air balloon

Image
We were dropping the kids off at school and saw this ballloon landing in the nearby neighborhood. We raced to find it so we could watch it land, and after the owner got out, he told Dale (we were out of the car watching) that he could help bring the balloon down. A few minutes later he told the little kids waiting, Dale included, to start walking on the balloon to push all the air out. They had such a blast! What a nice treat for them! The other kids were a little hesitant but Dale went right at it and brought 50% of it down all by himself.

Pinewood Derby

Image
Brighton's Pinewood Derby 2014 . He wasn't too excited to do it but since the Cubmaster is also his primary teacher he was talked into it. Justin made sure it had fast wheels and bright worked on the sanding and painting.  Justin was asked to start the cars. The race between first and second was very close. Brighton was close to the 4th place finisher as Brighton lost one heat but ultimately he won.

Adaira's Birthday

Image
Since Brighton had such a fun time going to see the Dutton's for his birthday, Adaira did the same thing for her birthday. Dinner first at Denny's This gaggle of girls was CRAZY!  They had to get autographs from everyone after the show. This is Benjamin Dutton, or "Julio," one of the stars and by far the funniest and probably most talented.  It was a pretty crazy and late night (an extra 20 minutes late after getting all the autographs, then on the way home my cell phone was dying). We pulled back into the parking lot in Gilbert to meet the parents and it was at least 10:45. Uncle Dale & Aunt Margie are special to Adaira. Adaira has been able to spend extra time with them playing with their grandson (her second cousin) Connor. They are the same age and get along really well. Connor spends a LOT of time with Margie and Adaira gets asked to come along frequently, and she LOVES being doted on by this "adoptive" grandma of hers. Every time sh...
