March 29, 2014 Raquel had a birthday and Don and Dia invited everyone out to Schneff Farms to celebrate. The kids had a good time riding on a train, shooting laser guns, and feeding animals. At the rifle range A pet peacock. Very beautiful but loud. Not sure they will be part of our farm.   Token selfie on the train.

With a free Saturday we decided to head down to the Ostrich Farm near Picacho. While they are cool birds we won't be getting ostriches any time soon. Dale absolutely loved the monster truck ride and asked to go back everyday for like 3 weeks straight after we got home. Grandma Barbara came along. This is on the Monster Truck ride.   They call this fishing for ostriches. They take sections of oranges and place them on closepins attached to a PVC pipe and you feed the birds.    An ostrich egg is equal to about 2 dozen chicken eggs.    Happy kids    Moderately happy parents    A true monster truck. For Brighton 10th birthday we went to Dennys and to the Duttons show. The boys had a really good time, and especially liked the comedian, Julio.   Justin thought they were a lot to handle until he saw what Audra dealt with for Adaira's party :-)     What can I say about you at 10 years old Brighton? You are insanely smart, inquisitive, curious, loving, stubborn, picky, and sensitive. You never, I mean NEVER, leave the car in the morning without giving me a kiss and telling me goodbye and that you love me. You had a hard time making friends until you got into CATS last year, and since then you found other kids just like you and two of them are also LDS. You understand and take to heart our talks about choosing good friends. You fight and argue with us all the time Brighton (like, WAY TOO MUCH) but in your heart you have a desire to be good and choose the right. Your three best friends are Adam, Sherwin and Brock. You hated running club, baseball, soccer...

Some random pictures that don't have enough story to be their own post My kids have a way of making their own water fun when a swimming pool is not an option. 10/22/13  Had to say goodbye to Daisy's mullet, it was just getting so long and the hair on the top and sides of her head was so far behind. This was actually 10/22/13  She's still adorable. Dale made this ornament at school. I love his smile.  Went to the zoo and Dale got chosen out of the audience to help with one of the presentations. He held up the card for the "Hare" in the tortoise and hare race.  Neither one of the animals went anywhere!  We watched the Lorax recently, and these puffs from the bushes at the zoo looked like Truffula trees.  And there was a large statue of a macaroni noodle at the zoo...Random.
