Making applesauce

Image
From Facebook: June 25, 2013  It's 10:30pm you say? You are tired you say? Work kids, work! Get that applesauce done! Child labor laws can't save you here! (j/k, they are having fun and begging to keep going, 10 big jars filled and we are only halfway done, will start again tomorrow afternoon, gotta love summer!) Brighton & Adaira helped me with the apple harvest and stayed up until after 10pm helping me make the sauce. They were having such a good time I just couldn't send them to bed. Dale was still  awake at 10pm (yes I'm crazy, and these kids will be cranky tomorrow) and he saw my previous pictures on FB and said "Mom, you nee take picture ah me too!" so here it is.

Update on our Growing Girl!

I have been too distracted the last few months. I need to do an update on our Darling Daisy. She is 19 months old now and such a joy! These pictures are from May and early June. Daisy has probably 10 words already (we are afraid she will be speaking clearly before Dale is...). She loves sticking out her bottom teeth and you can often see her with what we call the "Pop-eye" face as seen in the background here: She is pretty easy to please, and doesn't make a peep when she wakes up after her nap. I typically leave her in her crib for 3.5 hours every day for her nap. She's always awake when I go in to get her but she's just chilling with ...

Audra's experiences worth mentioning

Aura's & the Restoration I've been meaning to record two special things that occurred this year, but hesitated because other people read this blog and I didn't want to sound self righteous or bragging, but now that I have updated the blog through October and this post is going to be dated in June, nobody is likely to see it :) In February of this year an older sister in our ward, Sharon Christensen, had a stroke and passed away unexpectedly. She had been my visiting teacher a few years prior and was always very consistent, so I knew her fairly well. She had this dark curly hair that she had a habit of twirling around her fingers at church. One time her husband saw her twirling her hair and he kind of nudged her and when she looked at him he pretended to twirl his own hair; his own way of telling her to "stop it". For the past year or so Sister Christensen had been largely inactive. There were rumors that she wasn't coming because she was struggling with...
