Early summer nights

Image
Mid May still had reasonable evening temperatures, so we tried to enjoy our last little bits of time outside before the heat and mosquitoes arrived. This first picture isn't outside, but it is too precious to not include!  I was really just wanting to play with my new camera, hence the dozens of random pictures of Daisy. I know I'm biased, but isn't she beautiful?  Beautiful little Porcelain Doll lookalike, even with the dirty face  Now there is a mischievous face if I ever saw one.  Dale trying so hard to smile  After I tell him not to smile "so big"  Finally got a great one. Such a beautiful boy.  Daisy stylin' like she always does  Struttin' that stuff, she's got the legs to pull it off! lol  Adaira already to go to gymnastics (oh yeah we started gymnastics a month ago)  Hey blue yes! Her poor teeth have been missing for 6-8 months now, must be waiting for her mouth ...

Fathers and Sons

I decided to take the closer location and we went with Duane and Dean's ward along with David to the Verde River. It was much closer than Long Valley. The kids had a good time playing with cousins and in the river. A short night stay but fun nonetheless.

Our FIRST puppy!

Ever since my beloved dog, Laddie, died when I was 13, I have wanted a Collie. He was just such an amazing, relaxed, loyal pet. The only problem is that Collies are expensive, and there aren't any breeders in AZ. That makes it hard to find one! I got lucky with a breeder up in Wyoming who was selling them with full breeding rights for a decent price, and she had what was called "Smooth Coat" Collies, which I had never heard of. One look at them on Google and I was hooked. They are beautiful and so much easier to maintain without the long hair! She was born January 17th and we got her March 19th. After flying her here we still spent over $1k for her, but she has been worth every penny. We named her Senna Cassia after the AZ wildflower. We hardly heard a bark or whine out of her in the first two weeks. She is sweet, obedient, and so good natured. We plan on buying a male and breeding her when she is older. These dogs are simply amazing. How adorable is this picture?! ...
