End of Summer The Chandler School District runs on a year round calendar, so our kids go back to school a few weeks earlier than most. We spent the last few weeks of summer trying to swim at Grandma Jo's as often as possible. Dale has always been a dare devil and proves it on the diving board!    So if there are any "planking" nerds out there, apparently the new thing is "leisure diving." Justin attempted to do one and the camera didn't catch a clear picture and in the end he ended up with a fat welt along his side where he slapped the water. Planking, Owling, Leisure diving, who the heck is thinking this garbage up?  Did I mention Dale loves water? He would go off the diving board time after time all day long. He doesn't just jump either, he belly flops most of the time... Messing around taking cute pictures the night before school started  Well I'm not proud of this, but I actually forgot to take pictures of my kids on the morning ...

Alaska July 8-15th, 2011 To start, I have to say that I have incredible parents. They really enjoy spending time with their grown children and always want to plan fun vacations for us all to go on. Since Duane and Angie couldn't come on an Alaska cruise with us due to Duane's residency rotations, they took Duane and Angie and those of the rest of us who could make it on a short 5 day Mexico cruise earlier this year, and then took the rest of us on an Alaskan cruise in July. For me the best part about cruising has been the opportunity to sit and spend time with my family at the sit down dinners each night, and whenever we happen to run into each other during the days. On this cruise we got to enjoy the beautiful sites of Alaska, play plenty of Hand & Foot with my parents and ROOK with everyone else. On the ship if my parents weren't in their room, Justin and I knew that they could be found either in the card room or up at the dining area. It was pretty easy to find alm...
