Ward Primary Talent Show and more

A few weeks ago our ward primary was putting on a talent show for the kids. Brighton signed up during primary, and under the section "Act" he put "ask my mom". I have always been lacking in the creativity department and trying to think up a skit of some sort just seemed pretty impossible, given I only had 5 days to do it, so I told Brighton that since he signed up he'd have to do a dance with Adaira or something. Then he started saying he didn't want to go to the talent show at all, but I told him we needed to because he signed himself up. Justin had the idea of doing a skit from the cartoon Megamind since Brighton, Adaira, & I have seen it dozens of times (thank you Dale and your addiction to one single movie at a time) and at random times we had acted out the dialogues on our own for fun. It was a great idea, given that Brighton knew almost all the lines on the first try (we did the scene at the beginning where they are having the statue unveiling of Metroman and Megamind shows up on the jumbo-tron and tells him he has Roxanne Ritchie - from there to the point where Megamind traps Metroman in the observatory and yells FIRE!).  Brighton was so funny, he did great and even added his own theatrics the way Megamind does on the movie. Adaira was Roxanne Ritchie and had a few lines, I was Metroman (was going to be Justin but he didn't know all the lines because he's gone during the day when I get stuck watching it over and over) and Justin was Minion.

Dale has mastered quite a few things, like getting the mini-marshmallows down from the top of the cabinet, but luckily he hasn't mastered unwinding the twistie-tie.
We had some friends from our ward over for dinner and afterwards the circus acts began in the backyard.
 And down the adults go!
All of the kids wanted to try it of course, so they got on while the adults moved it very slowly.

Daisy is just as sweet as ever. She has been so smiley these past few weeks and loves sticking her tongue out. We love love love her!

Homemade baby food. I've never been a very organic eater, but for some reason I've never wanted to buy baby food from the store. I've only bought as much as I needed to get enough containers to make my own. At least my way the food actually smells like it should and is fresh!

Your baby food looks beautiful! And I think that Dale anc Conner are kindred spirits because everything you write about him it reminds me of Conner--and it is funny too because our baby girl under him is a sweetie pie as well. Sometime we should have you guys over so we can really compare children and observe.
