End of May

I have had zero motivation to blog for the past month, so before I get any further behind, I'm going to give a quick update. Baseball & T-ball are over! Brighton and Adaira did great and enjoyed the season. I never had any complaints from them about attending practice or games, and it was so fun to be able to go and cheer them on (except when we couldn't watch them because we were chasing Dale around making sure he didn't disappear)

Adaira says she wants to try soccer next but I'm going to try to talk her into sticking with T-ball one more season. Brighton has one more season this fall for Coach Pitch ball before he would start regular pitch, so we are hoping we can get him caught up even further by playing again this fall.

On the 19th of May we went with Ale & Peter Ray to the lake. They needed a few extra adult hands on the boat, but unfortunately that also meant an additional 4 kids! It was fun and our kids had a great time. I don't think Dale actually got in the water, but he sure loved walking around on the boat, eating what he could get his hands on, and going for a ride.

Just another muffin for Dale to eat the top off and discard...
Poor little Daisy! We didn't have a life vest quite small enough for her and it's required for all kids under a certain age (16 maybe?) to wear a life vest at all times. She was probably hot and uncomfortable the whole time!
Brighton and Adaira were both happy to get out on the water as much as they could. It was still too cold for me so I wasn't interested in getting in AT ALL.
They had this little training tube that the kids could practice holding on and standing up at the same time, to get them ready for skiing.
Justin did a lot of driving so Peter could get out on the water and take a break when he was inside the boat too.
 And she's up!

I was a little nervous about this trip, wondering how Daisy would do out there in the heat, sun, and bumpy boat, but fortunately she slept almost the whole time! I think it was easy since she was pretty immobile and it was so bright she wanted to just keep her eyes closed anyway.
Poor baby, but probably for the best that she slept most of the time.
We decided after this trip that it is ideal to have friends with boats rather than have one ourselves at this stage in our family :) Thanks Ale & Peter!
