The Zoo!

I've wanted another zoo membership since we got one for Christmas two years ago. It didn't make too much sense to get one last year because we were so busy finishing the house and I was pregnant (and we ended up leaving to Georgia in the fall anyway). I asked my parents for a pass for Christmas this year and my mom delivered! She bought the passes early and since they expire a year from when they were purchased we started going before Christmas even came around.

I love that the zoo has so many play-structures. My kids really don't care about the animals too much, but they have a great time at the play areas!
With an annual pass it's nice to not have to feel like you have to see all the animals in one visit. This day we really only went to one area of the zoo, which was the farm park area. The only animals we saw (except for the elephants and monkeys on our way) were the petting zoo animals.

Dale was a little nervous but warmed up really quickly to the goats. He was pushing on them and trying to get them to walk, and then he'd put him arm over their backs and giggle and walk with them.

At the farm area, Shamrock farms has a fake life-sized cow with teats and everything. Kids can practice "milking" the cow and water comes out of the teats. When I wasn't looking, Dale crawled up here and started drinking from them...gross...

Where on earth does this kid learn to give a face like this to the camera?
This is where he learns it...

Love it! Dale's gonna be a charmer with the cute little face he's got.

Also, it looks like the weather at the zoo was just perfect--at least it was overcast and it sounds like you went recently so the temp. must have been just right.

You've sold me on the idea to get a zoo pass after moving back to AZ.
