Beside me stands Superwoman!

We had an unfortunate flooding 2 weeks ago into our neighbors driveway. We had some berms to fix and build up. While I was moving things around with the tractor, Audra had the much harder job of using the shovel to smooth things out. She was at it for over an hour. She did such a good job that the neighbor told her to thank me for fixing the berm! Well she deserves the thanks and the credit on this one.

Once the berm was finished she dug a trench to convey the water from our concrete driveway into our yard. She even got the kids to help gather rocks offering them 5 cents per rock. Of course Brighton quickly finds over 100 rocks. I guess we should have had size limit to keep him looking for large rocks and not pebbles.
Audra has also been working at another part of our yard digging it out in preparation for a retaining wall.

Among guys it is not uncommon to find a hard worker that stays at a difficult task until it is finished, but I can't think of any other woman who tackles manual labor like Audra. I know it is not her favorite thing but she is a hard worker.

The projects I do give me satisfaction and I am happy when others comment on them. However I wouldn't be able to do anything if Audra wasn't helping in some way. Most times she is tending to the kids while I am out listening to my MP3 player (which is missing) working in the yard. I prefer this to entertaining three kids so here again Audra has the tougher job.

Yes, we make a great team, Audra and I. I don't know what I would do without her. I wouldn't be able to accomplish half of the things I do with out my beautiful partner. I love you babe!

Today Daisy was baptized by her big brother Brighton. My mom and Adaira got to be the witnesses, grandma Joanna gave the talk on the Holy Ghost, and Dale gave the closing prayer (after Dad has to rush during the closing song to help him put back on his tie and button up his shirt.   Memorial Day A couple months ago I told Justin that we should take our kids and both sets of grandparents to the Mesa City Cemetery and tell our kids stories about our family members buried there. I thought it would make a good Sunday or Family Home Evening activity.  I want my children to identify with their ancestors and feel like they can learn from them. I especially want them to feel like they can develop some of the same good qualities or avoid some of the poor ones. They had also never been to a cemetery so it would be a new experience for them. Justin and I never got around to organizing it until today. Justin's mom was planning a lunch BBQ and swimming for Memorial Day and told me she was thinking of inviting my parents and asked about time preferences since she was thinking of doing it around dinner time.
