Phoenix Children's Museum is always a hit, prety busy this day, but it was a fun outing with their cousins.

Random Backyard Sunset Pictures

We were outside taking pictures of our friend's  dune buggy and decided to take advantage of the lovely sky lighting. Daisy wasn't interested, and I had just gotten out of the shower. I remember as a kid trying to perfect my smile because my upper lip would go flat when I smiled and I thought it looked dumb, so I started curling my top lip. It became a habit until recently when I've tried to stop doing it and just let my mouth do whatever they naturally do (with proper amounts of Chapstick at least). My kids must notice my smaller upper lip when I smile because both Brighton and Adaira went through a period of lip curling, as evidenced below. We did a retake with Adaira given specific instruction not to do that! Her lips are plenty full with no flatness going on. Those teeth of hers have been MIA for almost a year. She will likely have some braces in her future.

Summer at the cabin

This is the 3rd year in a row I've taken the kids up to the cabin for a week at the end of June. We typically get a few friends to come visit us while we are there. This time we stayed for a record 10 days! Justin came up on the weekend to spend time with us for the 4th of July festivities as well. We made several trips to the little Show Low Bluff trail creek. We didn't have floaties, but we brought the foam snow sleds from the cabin and they served us well. When Daisy is done swimming, she is DONE! The weather was just so nice up there and outside with the kids in the evening I couldn't help but feel so blessed, grateful to my parents for building the cabin and wanting all of us to take advantage of it as much as possible. My whole world (minus Justin) right here. Awesome picture. When Justin was up on the weekend we went to the lake and playgrounds with our friends the Cotters. Adaira just looked so beautiful in these pictu...

Pools and Popsicles

Summer of 2014 was filled with lots of swimming (both at home and at swim lessons). Summer is the time for Saturday night baths, pool rinses the rest of the week, trampoline time and lots of pictures. Daisy sees Dale touch his Popsicle to his lip so she must try it too. Daisy trying to get Dale to stop talking so she can talk So devilishly adorable  Every one of my kids has spent time "swimming" in these big buckets.  Day #2 with a new pool, Brighton & Adaira joining in on the fun Little floaties for the two younger kids...or not  Daisy couldn't decide if she wanted to get in or not, so she hung around slowly getting closer and closer  Brighton is such a ham  She got splashed, will she finally give in??  This is her face smiling and saying "Noooooo"  And then she takes a deep breath...  Rips off her clothes and she is in the pool! Adaira practices her per...
