More Summer & Fall Photos
It's kind of a pain having photos on a regular camera and my cell phone camera, because I rarely get them saved and compiled together. Here is our summer pictures from my cell phone.
Dale at his swimming lesson crash course the week before we went to Lake Powell. He did so great! Unfortunately we don't have a pool and he's only gone swimming a couple of times since then so the instruction probably won't stick.
Cute selfie of Adaira, we are SO glad her other front tooth finally grew in. It was taking forever!
Dale's PICA has lessened some, and at the time of writing this he doesn't eat sand anymore, just paper.
Our front row (under the bleachers) seats for the 4th of July rodeo in Show Low.
Dale found this Captain America (I think) headband and wore it like headphones all day long.
This is such a strange expression and Dale looks so tired in this picture. Almost like a 50 year old in a 4yr old body or something. I still think he's adorable. Love him.
Daisy, like Dale, is VERY attached to her blanket. If she sees me put it in the washer she gets very upset and whines for it until it is done. Sometimes she stops the washer, wanting to get it out, and I don't realize it until an hour later when the wash still isn't done and she is still dying for her blanket. On this particular day she didn't want to walk away while her precious blanket was in there.
I sat in the backseat of the van once with Adaira and we passed the driving time (on the way to the cabin I think) by making silly faces. I would hold out the camera and tell her to smile but then we would both make dumb faces and laugh about it. Adaira's half grown in front tooth sure gave her the upper hand in this game...
At Kinder Springs. The trailer we borrowed came equipped with an (old) sand rail. We had fun driving it around but realized we didn't want one of our own. A Polaris Ranger is the way to go.
We drove it to Potato Lake with the kids. David and Marisa met us there in their truck.
Babies don't do too well camping when it comes to napping, so when Daisy fell asleep on my chest on the way to the lake I took advantage of it and we stayed behind in the sand rail.
Dean, Justin & David trying to equip the cannonball (water bottle) with rocket panels so it would fly farther (it didn't work)
Adaira & Charlotte. Adaira just loved having a little cousin to cuddle with since Daisy never lets her.
Grandpa Dean can always be relied on for bringing his big lantern when the rest of us forget.
Sometimes Justin doesn't understand why I want to take a picture, so he gives me this face.
Uncle David had a remote control helicopter up there and for some reason (I'm guessing the noise) completely terrified Dale. Being the insensitive mother than I am, I thought it was hilarious.
I kept trying to get Daisy to touch this June bug so it would hiss, but she never did.
The ranger at the tower had her horse corralled at the bottom.
Not too many pictures from Lake Powell on my phone except for this one. Dale was walking into the bathroom on the boat carrying his blanket. He tripped somehow and split his chin on the floor, poor kiddo. Now when he's an adult he can remember where that scar on his chin came from.
The latest battle with Daisy is keeping her off our counters. Whether it be in the bathroom or the kitchen, I pull her off at anywhere from 4-10 times per day.
Daisy was trying to run away from me in the car instead of getting in her carseat. She tripped and hit her mouth and was our little duck for the afternoon.
Found out a few days later that her fall was actually kind of helpful. It clipped her upper frenulum that was very thick and ran between her front teeth.
Ward campout in September up at the church property near Happy Jack. It was actually wet and chilly. We brought minimal camping gear so though I would have LOVED to stay and enjoy the beautiful weather, once the downpour came we had to go.
Adaira home on a sick day from school. I think I made it a little too comfy for her, she tried to fake being sick a few times after this.
Found this baby tortoise in our yard. We kept it for about a day, then I convinced Brighton that the most humane thing to do was to let it be free (score one for Mom) and he let me free it. Yay for not having to buy a tank and turtle gear!
When we take our kids out to eat, we go to Denny's or IHOP. Kids love it, and so do we. It's quick, kids eat free (on certain nights) and you can't go wrong with breakfast at dinner time.
These aren't clear pictures, but this is for my kids to know that their Daddy has fun with them once in a while. He's busy working 50 hours a week, and that is going to be our life, but he makes time to play with them when he is home (and the weather's nice...)
Adaira taking "selfies"

Mom selfie on a happy figure day
On the grass of the church building up in Show Low waiting for the fireworks on the 4th of July.
Woodland Lake Park up in Pinetop with the cousins.
Duane, Justin, and Don. We had a good group there and even ran into some of our friends (The Auxier's and their daughter Laura Call and fam, it's the second time we've run into friends at this park up there!). We had a good sized group to have another epic game of freeze tag, kids against adults, and WE DID. It's becoming a tradition every time we go.
Grandpa Dean sitting and watching his posterity.

Sometimes you run out of normal things to do at the cabin.
If I know one thing about Dale, it's that he needs his rest!
Sweet little Daisy

There's that sneaky face
Brighont and Adaira used to run through the door after school and fight over who got to be on the piano first. They were in there tinkering on it and Justin went in and all three of them were playing at once. Priceless.Daisy, like Dale, is VERY attached to her blanket. I think this face might be one of my best, lol

Firing off Uncle Duane's homemade water cannon (cousin Riggs holding it)

Cute menacing face right there.
Adaira & Grandpa
Yay! Adaira & Daisy together finally.
Cute sisters

Everyone LOVES the tire swing.
Adaira getting her camping hair done so it doesn't end up a dirty mess at the end of the day.I kept trying to get Daisy to touch this June bug so it would hiss, but she never did.
Almost.... but she just ended up pointing at it.
On trip up to the look out tower at Baker's Butte.
The ranger at the tower had her horse corralled at the bottom.

Had to include this picture, I love Daisy's crooked half smile here.
Mom selfie
Daisy & Mom selfie
Adaira was walking around the house in her dress up clothes (we had a two huge bags given to use by a friend so I wasn't acquainted with everything in there). I saw the black boots she paired up with this witch dress and said "Uh-Uh, go change"

Ravines are so much fun for kids.
Dale fell, he recovers pretty quickly though.
Camping, makeup free - at least for Audra, ;) selfie
I love to see dirty little girls when we go camping

Daisy rocks an awesome mullet.

Silly kiddos at lunch one day.
I love it when they look at each other and jibber jab and laugh.
Daisy has become SUCH a talker. It seems to crazy to have her talking so much at her age after waiting so long for Dale to talk. These aren't clear pictures, but this is for my kids to know that their Daddy has fun with them once in a while. He's busy working 50 hours a week, and that is going to be our life, but he makes time to play with them when he is home (and the weather's nice...)
We made chocolate cake and THIS girl loved it. Brighton was more than the likely the one who made the cake, he loves making cakes (from a box of course).
