Not so small anymore...
So at 36 weeks I was still carrying pretty well, wasn't enormous or anything, really wondering if I might get lucky and have a child under 9lbs... Well that isn't happening! My belly seems to have exploded in the past week. This little girl dropped and is packing on the pounds. My whole pelvic girdle aches all day long and I'm pretty sure I'm doing the full on waddle now.
As a reminder, here is me at 36 weeks:
Two weeks later at 38 weeks (and only 3-4 days after the maternity shoot I just posted about), a very obvious difference if you ask me!

A few weeks ago I let the kids take a bubble bath in the master tub. They are always asking to take baths in it but they make such a mess and get everything so wet that usually I don't want to deal with it, but I was feeling kind that night :) Pour in a little bubble bath and turn on the floor bubble jets and we had about 2ft of bubbles in only 6 inches of water! We took these pictures after they had died down a little bit. I didn't want Dale to slip over and get lost...

Dale kept getting bubbles all over his face and was done long before the older two
Rinsing off in the shower

The projects never seem to end around this place. Ever since finishing the basement last June, the tub in one of the bathrooms has never drained...at all. We thought it was probably clogged and since there is another bathroom down there with a shower we never really felt it was a pressing issue to deal with. We finally decided to figure out what the problem was since Frances really wanted to be able to use the tub, so Justin got out his plumbing snake and tried unsuccessfully to unclog it. We called the plumbing company that ran the plumbing lines down there for us and they came out with a more heavy duty plumbing snake and tried for about 30 minutes to get through the blockage. The plumber told me it must be concrete or something because the metal on the end of his snake appeared to be getting polished by whatever it was hitting. We couldn't figure out how concrete could have possibly got in the pipe, but either way we knew it was something seriously inconvenient, because the only option left was to dig out around the pipe (through the basement concrete mind you!), cut it out and replace it.
After pulling up the flooring, Justin had to rent a jackhammer to break up the 4in concrete floor, then spend the next couple days digging through the ABC rock and dirt below the concrete. The pipe was located a good foot below the concrete, and under the tub as well! Justin had to dig straight down and then over, all the while hauling the rock and dirt out of the basement in buckets. He had to dig even deeper that the actual pipe so he could fit his body in the hole to be able to work on it. Poor guy, it really was long and hard work, and in a tight space as well!
No pictures of Justin in the hole, but with both Brighton and Adaira in there you get the idea...
As it turned out, the finish plumber who connected the pipes (an unlicensed, undocumented dude with great prices...) made a connection in the pipes but failed to take the cap off of the pipe at the connection, how he could make such a huge mistake by forgetting something so minor is beyond us. Thankfully Justin could fix it and he already has the hole filled in but the top isn't quite finished yet. He still needs to add some leveling compound to make the patch nice and smooth so he can put the floor back down. Should be done within the week.

Justin was so impressed with Brighton and Adaira's hiking abilities at Jackass Canyon a few weeks ago that he took them to Camelback Mountain. It was such a nice break for me since he took Dale in the backpack as well. The experience definitely wasn't as nice as he thought it would be (there was a lot of complaining and fighting and they ended up turning back before they reached the summit), but it was good practice!

Justin's 2 cents: Brighton was the better hiker on this trip. He didn't complain at all. Dale got restless very early on and didn't want to stay in the backpack. Adaira had most of the complaints and fell a few times. We turned back because of the setting sun. I think they both could have made it but the descent would have been in darkness. Even though we had lights with us, but the time we made it back to the car it was completely dark. Turned out to be the right decision. Sorry, Audra but Dale isn't invited next time.

Just had to add this one, sleeping babes are so precious!

There is nothing more adorable then bubble bath pictures! I love these !
Gosh what a nightmare that such a small mistake created . How could someone forget something so small yet so big. Poor Justin as if he isn't busy enough... I bet you wonder if the projects will ever end. One weekend with simply nothing to do ...wouldn't that be GREAT!
