Has it really been that long?

10 Years ago today Justin and I became husband and wife.  The next post will chronicle our 10 years together. We have had a LONG road together and gone through a lot of fun and laughter as well as sorrow and tears. I couldn't imagine not being married to Justin, but there was a time when "we" almost didn't exist anymore. Because of the bitter times, what we have now is SO sweet and I thank Heavenly Father for his help in getting us to where we are today. Now that I've grabbed your attention, you'll just have to wait for the post... because I'm not done with it...and it's hard to fit 10 years into one post and choose which pictures to include...and I don't have any time...and we are leaving town tomorrow to go on a cruise for our anniversary...
Justin sent me on a scavenger hunt around the house to find a letter he had written to me for today. He is always so thoughtful...cuz where's my letter? That's right, I thought we were just going to go on a cruise so I didn't do anything else...does this mean I'm the man in the relationship as far as thoughtfulness goes? Oh well, I love this man more than anything and I couldn't imagine being married to anyone else. He is the love of my life!

You guys look so young and cute! I remember that weekend oh so well--for many reasons:) But I'm so glad that you get to run off together--enjoiy it!

Daisy's baptism day

Today Daisy was baptized by her big brother Brighton. My mom and Adaira got to be the witnesses, grandma Joanna gave the talk on the Holy Ghost, and Dale gave the closing prayer (after Dad has to rush during the closing song to help him put back on his tie and button up his shirt. Brighton was the pianist except for Adaira who played "When I am Baptized" for a special musical number.   Memorial Day A couple months ago I told Justin that we should take our kids and both sets of grandparents to the Mesa City Cemetery and tell our kids stories about our family members buried there. I thought it would make a good Sunday or Family Home Evening activity.  I want my children to identify with their ancestors and feel like they can learn from them. I especially want them to feel like they can develop some of the same good qualities or avoid some of the poor ones. They had also never been to a cemetery so it would be a new experience for them. Justin and I never got around to organizing it until today. Justin's mom was planning a lunch BBQ and swimming for Memorial Day and told me she was thinking of inviting my parents and asked about time preferences since she was thinking of doing it around dinner time.
