Well for anybody out there that really cares what we've been up to in Georgia, our updates are going to be few and far between from here on out. Our laptop fan died and now the computer shuts off as soon as it gets too warm (so now I will be keeping it in the refrigerator and running it with a bag of ice underneath, NOT kidding!). Our internet had been down since the beginning of the week and we finally got that fixed today. So lately we've had quite a bit going on. The latest adventure was to Atlanta to visit our friends Josh & Angela and their kids. We met under unusual circumstance a few years ago and stayed in touch. We had always wanted to meet up again and with us in Phx and them in Atlanta it never happened. Here we are in Georgia and I figured we should go visit...but I didn't realize it was a 5 hour drive...with Dale who up until now has been a TERROR in the car! We made it, however, and had a great MLK weekend with them. We went to a huge Aquarium in Atlanta that was cool but way too crowded. The last outing we went on was to the Pine Mountain Wild Animal Safari. It's a privately owned animal preserve and you can buy a 50lb bag of feed and rent a van and drive through the park and feed the animals (Longhorns, buffalo, deer, goats, zebras, donkeys, llamas, pigs, a giraffe and some camels), most of which are roaming free and maul every vehicle throwing food. It was a lot of fun and definitely a new adventure for the kids.
The giraffe would have stuck his head in a lot farther if Josh wouldn't have rolled his window up.
These things could reach a good 4-6 inches into the van with their tongues!
The kids had a great time! It was good to do something fun before the long (and might I add miserable) ride home. Thank you so much Josh & Angela for your hospitality and the trip to the park!
