Rocky Point

About 9 years ago we decided Mexico was getting too sketchy to continue our twice a year trips to Rocky Point. Funny thing, however, is that in the past 2-3 years many of our friends who were too scared to go when we were going started actually going! A few months ago Justin and I started debating whether it was time to start going again and we were tentatively planning a trip for this October. Last week my friend Ale Ray texted and asked if we wanted to go stag with her at her mom's resort condo in Rock Point. Well that sounded even better than an October trip! So we had about 5 days to get our stuff together and we headed down.

When we realized the awesome exchange/conversion rate at the supermarket down there (18 pesos to the dollar!) we made daily $.30 donut trips and stopped by for 3 bags of fresh flour tortillas on our way out of town. They were only $1.25 for a one kilo bag and so yummy!

We took turns staying at the condo with Polly for the first two days, but the weather was so nice we brought her down on the third day and she did well. Our kids had so much fun boogie boarding, burying themselves in the sand, and pool hopping. Brighton and Gabby got along really well, as did Adaira and Grace, Dale and Mo, and Daisy and Sam. Brighton acted so agreeable and mature this trip, I'm sure it had nothing to do with having a 12 year old girl around, haha! It was a great trip and I think we are going to have to become Rocky Point regulars again. We found an RV park down from our resort with beach front spots and bathrooms for only $20/night. Holla!
Poor Daisy either sunburned her eyeballs or was very sensitive to the pool water. She was crying in pain all evening.
We didn't have a bad view even when we stayed at the condo with Polly. Great weather, no complaining! The day Justin stayed back with her, she slept for over 4 hours!
