Disneyland with a surprise ending
A few days after Dale's birthday we headed to the Happiest (and most expensive) Place On Earth! Four day passes for everyone except Daisy since she wasn't three yet and was free. Lucky for her she was already tall enough for most of the rides though!
Brighton realized on this trip that he doesn't like the flutter in his stomach from steep drops on rides, so he sat out on a lot of fun rides that he enjoyed the last time we came here. Bummer! Adaira, Dale, and Daisy couldn't get enough of them!
Daisy didn't realize the fun that awaited her when we first got into the park. We headed straight for Cars Land and while waiting in line she proceeded to lay on the ground and hassle me when I wanted her to move forward with the line. She's such a beauty though!
She soon learned what it was all about though!
Having a blast!
We even met up with our friends the Crop family a few of the days we were there.
Our kids loved having a buddy(that wasn't a sibling) to go on rides with.
Met up with Adaira's friend Sarah from school for a few hours too.
Painting shirts and faces at Camp Carnival and playing on the splash pad at the back of the boat, along with soft serve ice cream and hot chocolate after every meal (and sometimes in between!) these kids were in heaven.
Justin was a good sport and got wet with the kids. I personally needed it to be 15-20 degrees warmer to do that.
Trying to get wet and preserve her face paint at the same time.
Always had to stop and play with the huge chess pieces.
Happy girls
The trip ended far too soon. We really had a wonderful time. We couldn't wait to do it again! It was easily the longest stretch of happiness we have had as a family in a long time thanks to the fact that our kids were too excited to fight with one another, too tired at the end of the day to fight going to bed, had a blast getting entertained and playing games at Camp Carnival, and on top of that Justin and I had plenty of free time to ourselves throughout the day. It was perfect.

And now for the BIG suprise...
A big surprise that we didn't tell the kids about until we pulled up to the dock was that we were taking them on their very first cruise! I was a cheap 3 day cruise out of LA, literally just over 30 minutes from Disneyland when they thought we were on our way home. When we pulled up we pointed out the cruise ship and told them they always wanted to see one so we were there so they could see one in person. They weren't overly enthused, but they sure got excited when we told them they were actually going to be on that ship for three days!Painting shirts and faces at Camp Carnival and playing on the splash pad at the back of the boat, along with soft serve ice cream and hot chocolate after every meal (and sometimes in between!) these kids were in heaven.
