Kinder Springs Tire Swing

When I was younger there was a swing tied to a tree on the side of a hill up here at Kinder Springs. It used to keep all of us occupied for hours! It was awesome because the slope it was on made you feel super high off the ground when you'd swing out away from the tree (My oldest brother Dean actually fell off of it one year and broke his arm and busted his forehead open). Long ago the rope broke and the tree eventually fell over, but several years back someone tied a rope to an Oak tree in the meadow and the fun continues! Brighton fell off of it this year but luckily didn't break any bones. It did leave him with a big bruise on his back though!

You can see in this picture why Justin was the favorite "pusher"

Dirty faces are definitely okay at Kinder Springs!

My attempt at a "super push." Basically it looks like I lifted my legs off the ground and off to the side to give the illusion of flying in the air. Let's face it folks, my arms are quick, but they are weak! What we do not have a picture of is me trying this again, landing backwards and having the swing drag me along the dirt.

Perfect little .22 revolver for Brighton to practice with.

On our final day camping I left Dale in his pajamas and let him walk around a bit and get dirty since I knew I'd be changing him anyway.

It was SO beautiful and green! End of July (rainy season) is definitely the best time to camp! The only thing really missing was Duane & Angie's family. It's just not he same without you guys!

Gosh! Duane was saying how sad he was that he missed the camping trip and seeing all the photos makes me want to cry cause we didn't get to go...
:-(
Someday though, right?
Hey, BTW, hopefully we're all coming out there for spring break and your mom said something about maybe going on a mini cruise then since we can't get ANY time of over the summer it looks like.
AND
Did you know I'm coming out with the kids in Ocotber or September (whenever Suzy gets married cause I'll be her photographer)?
We're very excited to come see you all and Kalvin still asks about all his cousins and Grandma and Grandpa Ellsworth!
