Dance Party

Image
Every couple of week the kids start asking if we can dance after dinner. The answer depends on how much patience Justin and I have by the end of the day and how early dinner finishes up. This night was one of those nights. There is usually someone crying about something about every 5 minutes, but for the most part they all get a good energy release. We turned on the Children's Tunes channel on DISH and the party started.  Tonight was more running and jumping and swinging each other around than it was dancing.  Check out Adaira's flushed face, they were running hard! I'm in love with Dale's dance moves. He just started dancing like this tonight. After changing her into her pajamas, Daisy was all ready to join in the excitement.  I love that cute little face  Dale sweats profusely. He has ever since he was an infant. He can be running around with the rest of the kids and they are a little sweaty around the face, and Dale will be ...

10 Months

Image
This Lovely Little Girl   has been in our family for 10 months now! (on the 6th anyway) Daisy continues to be such a sweet spirit in our home and I just love going to get her in the mornings or from her nap and have her greet me with her smiling face. She is so easy -going that I often feel guilty that she gets left in her crib probably longer than she should be because she doesn't even cry or make any noise at all when she wakes up. She just plays and waits for me to come get her. Justin and I often feel like we are drowning in relation to our parental responsibilities and the needs of each of our kids, but I tell you if I could ensure that another baby would be a girl like Daisy I might consider having another child a few years from now. Unfortunately I have a pretty strong impression that another child would be a boy, and my boys have been difficult babies and I don't even need to mention the trial Dale has been for me the past three years... Anyway, this little gir...

Back to school Slowdown...

Image
My blogging always comes to a screeching halt when school starts. No trips to go on, older kids gone at school and homework when they get home; we just don't do anything picture worthy! So here are some random funnies:  Okay I had to post a caption, Dale turned around, posed and actually wanted me to take the picture below...

Who had a birthday?

Image
Dale had a birthday, that's who! Dale finally hit the big 3 on August 31st. He just had his 3 year check up and he is 35.6lbs and 40.5in tall. He's in the 84th percentile for weight and the 97th for height. His development hasn't quite gotten to the point where he really had a clue what a birthday is or how old he is anyway, but we tried to help him understand.   Dale was wanting me to take pictures of him and he was smiling and posing for the camera (in his inside-out and backwards underwear).  I caught him giving Justin a kiss. Dale refused to give anybody a kiss for the first 2.5years of his life. The first time he actually gave me a kiss I pretty much did the happy dance. Most of the time that we ask for one these days he will give us one, so we have made some progress. After taking the picture below I told Justin we needed another picture where he looked like he at least enjoyed a kiss from Dale...  But the second picture looks kind of cheese...
